THE MEANING OF THE FOUNDATION
The Twisten Foundation was created in response to the tragic loss of Karel Twisten Ašenbrener, a talented Czech esports player who took his own life due to mental health problems. His family decided to transform the pain into meaningful support for other young people who are going through similar problems. The foundation aims to support the mental health of teenagers and help them manage the psychological challenges that may be troubling them.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health , a third of ninth-graders in the Czech Republic experience moderate to severe anxiety , and four out of ten face signs of depression.
